Los Angeles, March 2 – Hollywood actor Chris Pratt's sense of humour is one of the strongest tools for his family to overcome difficult times.

The 46-year-old actor's wife, author Katherine Schwarzenegger, is fortunate to have a spouse who is full of hope and happiness, according to ‘Female First UK’.

She told ‘People’ magazine, "For a variety of reasons, I am grateful that I married Chris. But one of them is having someone who brings humour during challenging times. Even when he's not being funny, having someone who can make you laugh during a really difficult time is really important. He definitely does that, so I'm very grateful for that”.

Katherine, 36, and Chris have daughters Lyla, five, and Eloise, three, as well as a two-year-old son named Ford.

According to ‘Female First UK’, Chris kept everyone entertained when their household was struck down with the flu. Katherine, who is also step-mother to Chris' 13-year-old son Jack, whom he has with his ex-wife, actress Anna Faris, said, "I would say that he's definitely always very humorous. Even when he's sick, he's making jokes that make a difficult situation or a difficult week have some lighthearted moments”.

Katherine, whose parents are acting legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, 78, and 70-year-old journalist Maria Shriver, and Chris started dating in 2018, the same year he and Anna, 49, finalised their divorce after nine years of marriage.

In 2019, Katherine and Chris got married during an intimate ceremony at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California. Now seven years on, the author has revealed what keeps her and Chris' relationship alive.

Katherine, who met the Guardians of the Galaxy actor at a Hollywood church, said, "(It's) just knowing that we're teammates in so much of life, and especially in parenting, which has its ups and downs”.

In February, Chris revealed he treats every day like Valentine's Day. The actor told Extra, "Katherine is somebody who does not love to go out on Valentine's Day. She thinks it's a bit too busy out there, but that just means that every day that's not Valentine's Day, I have to treat it like Valentine's Day”.

During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show last year, Chris shared how his and Katherine's relationship has been moving at a rapid pace.

The actor said, "God has a fast-forward button. When it's right, boom. You fall in love, you get married. Now we have two beautiful daughters to add to my family. And Chris described his wife as the "woman of (his) dreams".

"My own journey, finding a higher power and leaning on that and being like, 'Please save me', and then feeling saved. And then shortly later, finding the woman of my dreams”, he added.
