KATHUA, March 3, 2026: In Kathua, the District Administration, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, organized a Walkathon to promote "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" and "Beta Beti Ek Saman" as part of the Women's Week celebrations.
Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma inaugurated the event from the DC Office Complex. Participants marched from College Road to Shaheedi Chowk, chanting slogans in support of gender equality and women's rights.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted that week-long programs are being conducted across the district to honor women and raise awareness about their legal rights.
