Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), March 5 Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha announced on Thursday that she would be launching a new political party within two months.
She made this announcement while visiting the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirupati.
Kavitha is the daughter of BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao.
"In the next two months, we will be announcing a political party with the blessings of Lord Balaji," Kavitha told reporters.
Regarding the Tirupati laddoo controversy, she said that rumors about adulteration had hurt the sentiments of devotees.
She noted that Lord Balaji is worshipped not only in India but also internationally, and urged the government to ensure that the laddoo is prepared with the utmost reverence and devotion.
Recently, a Delhi court acquitted former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia, Kavitha, and 20 others in the politically charged liquor policy case, criticizing the CBI for finding no "overarching conspiracy or criminal intent" in the policy.
