Kollam (Kerala), March 16 RSP, a UDF ally, announced four candidates for the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections on April 9.
Although the Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) has sought five seats, the decision on the fifth seat is still under discussion, according to party leaders.
RSP state secretary Shibu Baby John will contest from Chavara in the Kollam district.
Ullas Kovoor will contest from Kunnathur, Vishnu Mohan from Eravipuram, and Santhosh Badran from Attingal.
"We have clarity on the four seats for which we have announced the candidates. Regarding the fifth seat, the discussions are in the final stages," John said.
He said that the party has also sought the Kanhangad seat in the Kasaragod district.
"We have demanded Kanhangad if the Congress takes over the Thrikaripur constituency from the Kerala Congress. We are expecting a decision on this matter soon," he said.
In the 2021 Assembly elections, the RSP contested from Mattannur, Eravipuram, and Chavara but failed to win any seats.
