Alappuzha (Kerala), March 25 The ruling LDF has only one chief ministerial candidate – Pinarayi Vijayan – although his party, CPI(M), has not officially declared him for the post in the April 9 Assembly polls.
In contrast, the opposition UDF has at least three contenders, with senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala being one of the main contenders.
