Kochi, March 19 Congress leader V D Satheesan launched his election campaign with a roadshow in North Paravoor on Thursday.
The roadshow started from Varapuzha and ended in North Paravoor, covering a distance of approximately 10 kilometers.
Satheesan was accompanied by Ernakulam DCC president Mohammed Shiyas and local leaders during the rally.
Satheesan, who is leading the Congress and the UDF in the upcoming Assembly elections on April 9, is expected to campaign in other constituencies in the coming days.
Meanwhile, KPCC president Sunny Joseph also held a roadshow in Peravoor in Kannur district.
Joseph is seeking a mandate from Peravoor for the fourth time and will face CPI(M) leader K K Shailaja.
Both had contested from Peravoor in 2011, when Joseph emerged victorious.
