Thiruvananthapuram, March 27 Various political parties, including prominent ones like the BJP and Congress, have submitted a list of their key campaigners to the Election Commission, which includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Sonia Gandhi, her son Rahul, and daughter Priyanka, as well as Shashi Tharoor.
The BJP's list of star campaigners also includes party president Nitin Nabin, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
Among these, Modi has already visited Kerala twice and is expected to arrive in the state again on Sunday.
However, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is not on the list of 40 star campaigners provided by the BJP.
The key campaigners of the Congress include party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, and Sachin Pilot.
Rahul and Priyanka had visited the state prior to the announcement of the election dates, while Kharge, Tharoor, and Pilot participated in election-related activities in Kerala after that.
In addition to them, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) head and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is also among the key campaigners whose list has been submitted to the Election Commission.
The Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas), Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), and the Bahujan Samaj Party have also submitted a list of their key campaigners, which includes their party chiefs, who may participate in political events in the election-bound state.
