Gondia, Apr 11 Nearly 50,000 farmers are awaiting the purchase of their paddy crop by the government at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) in the Gondia district, following the completion of procurement for the Kharif season on March 31, an official said on Saturday. A total of 1,32,614 farmers had registered for the procurement process, with paddy being sourced from 83,439 farmers, District Marketing Officer Vivek Ingle said. He added that a total of 49,175 farmers are still waiting for their paddy to be procured.
