
April 2, Kohima: Nagaland has added another medal to its athletics tally at the 1st Khelo India Tribal Games in Chhattisgarh.
Wede T. Mero delivered an outstanding performance to win the gold medal in the men's 10,000 metres event, bringing pride and glory to the state.
With this achievement, Nagaland's athletics team has secured a total of three medals – one gold, one silver, and one bronze – at the ongoing Games.
A 10-member team is representing the state across various track and field events, showcasing strong determination and competitive spirit on the national stage.
The Khelo India Tribal Games began in Chhattisgarh on March 25th and will continue until April 3rd.
More than three thousand athletes from 30 states and Union Territories are participating in the Games.
