
President Droupadi Murmu stated today that the sporting talent of the country's youth, including tribal communities, represents a valuable social asset for the nation. In her article titled "Tribal Sports Talent: Our National Pride," President Murmu emphasized that continued strengthening of the momentum created by the Khelo India Tribal Games 2026 will create a pool of talented athletes who will establish India as a global sporting superpower. The President also praised the Khelo India initiative for providing appropriate sporting environments for all geographical regions, social groups, and institutions, from local to national levels. President Murmu added that the energy and enthusiasm of young people are constructively expressed through sports. She highlighted that the government's efforts to identify and develop sports talent among the youth have begun to yield positive results in national and international tournaments.
