
Army athletes dominated Nordic skiing, while J&K's Zubair Ahmad won gold in snowboarding on Day 3 of the Khelo India Winter Games.
February 25, Srinagar: Several key events were held on the third day of the Khelo India Winter Games, attracting participation from a large number of athletes.
In the 15-kilometer Nordic skiing event, Army's Mohammad Ali won the gold medal. Padma, also representing the Army, secured the silver medal, while Sunny Singh claimed the bronze.
In snowboarding, J&K's Zubair Ahmad won the gold medal, adding to the Union Territory's tally at the Games.
Meanwhile, Sports Minister Satish Sharma visited Kangdoori to review arrangements for the event. He inspected medical facilities and food services to ensure smooth conduct of the competitions.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said it was encouraging to see athletes getting opportunities to develop and refine their skills at the grassroots level through such events.
