KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 26: The NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Kishtwar organized the District-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament in the college auditorium under the leadership of Principal Prof. Basharat Iqbal.

The event, themed "50 Years of Emergency: Lessons for Indian Democracy," was attended by Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma as the chief guest. He praised the participants for their confidence and democratic spirit, emphasizing the importance of Youth Parliament platforms in strengthening constitutional values and leadership skills.

The programme began with a welcome address by NSS Programme Officer Prof. Esarul Ayub. Over 20 students from GDC Kishtwar, GDC Padder, and GDC Chatroo participated in the competition.

The jury, consisting of faculty members from GDC Bhaderwah, selected five of the best participants to represent the district at the state level.

Faculty members and district officers attended the event. Prof. Tabassum Saleem conducted the proceedings, while Dr. Sheikh Mohd Usman delivered the vote of thanks.
