KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 27: Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, chaired a District Task Force on Immunization meeting to review preparations for the launch of the National HPV Vaccination Campaign, which begins on February 28. The campaign targets girls aged 14–15 to provide early protection against cervical cancer.

The DC emphasized the importance of strong coordination between departments, raising awareness, efficient logistics, micro-planning, and robust monitoring to ensure complete coverage. He also directed educational institutions to support the campaign by identifying eligible students and facilitating vaccination.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Yudhvir Singh Kotwal briefed the participants on the objectives, target group, and operational aspects. The DC also addressed issues related to school infrastructure, issuing on-the-spot directions and assuring administrative support.

The meeting was attended by ADC Pawan Kotwal, PO ICDS Dr. Rishi Kumar Sharma, ACR Idrees Lone, SDM Dr. Amit Kumar, CEO Sanjay Dogra, BMOs, and other officials.
