
Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Commander of the Northern Command, visited Kishtwar following the successful completion of 'Operation TRASHI-I', which resulted in the elimination of three Pakistan-backed terrorists in the region.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed by senior field commanders on the operational details and coordinated efforts undertaken by security forces during the mission. The operation was carried out in challenging terrain and adverse weather conditions.
Lt Gen Sharma commended the troops for their swift, precise, and well-coordinated action, which ensured the successful execution of the operation. He praised the professionalism, commitment, and unwavering resolve displayed by personnel on the ground.
Reiterating the Indian Army's firm commitment to maintaining peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir, the Army Commander stressed the importance of sustained vigilance and close synergy among security agencies to counter any attempts to disrupt normalcy in the region.
"The successful completion of 'Operation TRASHI-I' stands as a testament to the operational preparedness and unwavering dedication of the Indian Army towards safeguarding national security and promoting a terror-free J&K," he said.
