
Chiba (Japan), April 3 Karandeep Kochhar, a prominent figure in the Indian Golf Premier League, carded another bogey-free round, finishing one shot behind the leader with a score of 65 at the USD 2 million International Series Japan.
Kochhar (67-65) is 10 under par on the Par-71 course.
The only other Indian to make the cut was the legendary Jeev Milkha Singh (72-69), who scored a birdie on the 17th to make the cut at 1 under.
Kochhar, who had three birdies and no bogeys on the first day, had five birdies and no bogeys in the second round. In the second round, Kochhar parred the first five holes and then made birdies on the sixth and eighth before adding four more on the 11th, 13th, 14th, and 16th.
The other Indians who failed to make the cut include Gaganjeet Bhullar (73-74), Shourya Bhattacharya (75-69), Jyoti Randhawa (80-69), and SSP Chawrasia (77-79).
In the first round, Kochhar started on the tenth and parred his first nine holes. In his second nine, he had four birdies for a 4 under 67 and was in the top 10.
