Kochi, March 31 Two young men were killed after two motorcycles collided near Aluva early Tuesday, police said.
The deceased were identified as Devakrishna (20) from Cherai and Aadarsh (17) from Parakkadavu.
According to police, the accident occurred around 2:40 am at the Pulinchode Junction, when the motorcycle carrying Devakrishna and Aadarsh was hit by another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.
Although bystanders rushed the injured to a hospital, both later succumbed to their injuries.
Police said the rider of the other motorcycle has been admitted to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway, Aluva police said.
The bodies will be handed over to relatives after the post-mortem, they added.
