Chennai, March 4: The eagerly awaited romantic drama "Kolaiseval," starring Kalaiyarasan in the lead, will be released on March 13, its makers have announced.
Actor Kalaiyarasan shared the release date announcement poster on his social media accounts, writing, "The hunt begins on March 13! #Kolaiseval will be released on March 13 with a bang. #கொலைச்சேவல் #KolaisevalFromMarch13."
It may be recalled that director Pa Ranjith had released the first look of the film.
The film has been produced by R P Bala and Kousalya Bala of RP Films, best known for producing the critically acclaimed film "Love."
Written and directed by debutant director V R Thudhivaanan, "Kolaiseval" stars Kalaiyarasan as the protagonist, while Deepa Balu, known for her YouTube short films, is making her debut as the female lead.
Bala Saravanan and Agaran Venkat play key roles in the film, which also features Aadhavan in a villain role for the first time. The film also stars other actors, including Gajaraj.
Speaking about "Kolaiseval," producer R P Bala had said in a previous interview, "It is a beautiful love story. It has been shaped in an interesting way and will surely be enjoyed by audiences of all categories. The film will also convey an important message that society needs." He added, "Especially, the last 20 minutes of the movie will be unique and exciting."
He further added, "It is a pleasure to introduce young talent Thudhivaanan as director through this film. This movie will be a turning point for Kalaiyarasan."
The film boasts a strong technical team. Cinematographer PG Muthiah has handled the cinematography, while Santhan has composed the film's music. Editing is by Ajay Manoj, while art direction is by Saravana Abhinaman. The stunts in the film have been choreographed by Danger Mani.
