Bengaluru, April 1 The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) decided on Wednesday to provide a monthly pension to former female cricketers who have represented the state in the Senior Women’s National Championship.
The pension will be provided to players who are 55 years of age or older, and who are not receiving a similar benefit from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
"This initiative is aimed at recognizing and honoring the valuable contributions made by former female cricketers to the state," said KSCA Secretary Santosh Menon.
Menon added that eligible players will need to submit documents to prove their representation and details about the number of matches they have played for the state.
