Chandigarh, April 3 A major fire engulfed four manufacturing units in the Kundli Industrial Area in Sonipat district of Haryana on Friday, although no one was injured in the blaze, police said.
The fire started in one unit and quickly spread to the other three units, aided by strong winds, they said.
It is suspected that an electrical short circuit triggered the blaze, although the exact cause will be determined after the investigation, police said.
Around 17-18 fire tenders were rushed to the site, which brought the flames under control after several hours, they said.
"Four units were engulfed in the flames, and it took many hours for the fire tenders to bring them under control. No one was injured in the incident," local SHO Sethi Malik said.
