
Chandigarh, April 3 A fire broke out in four manufacturing units in the Kundli Industrial Area in Sonipat district, Haryana, early Friday, but no one was injured, police said.
The fire started in one unit and quickly spread to three other units, they said. Several fire trucks were rushed to the scene, and the flames were brought under control after several hours.
"Four units were engulfed in the flames, and it took many hours for the fire trucks to bring it under control," said SHO of Kundli Police Station, Inspector Sethi Malik, over the phone. He said no one was injured in the incident.
The units that caught fire manufactured home appliances such as coolers and fans, he said. An electrical short circuit is suspected to have caused the fire. However, the exact cause will be determined after an investigation, he said.
