
Guwahati, March 3 Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Holi.
Acharya described Holi as a vibrant celebration that reflects India's rich cultural ethos and the enduring spirit of unity in diversity.
He said that the festival, marked by an exuberant display of colors and festivity, symbolizes the triumph of hope over despair and harmony over discord.
The governor expressed confidence that the festival would further strengthen the bonds of goodwill and mutual respect among all sections of society.
Acharya urged the people to celebrate the festival with responsibility and a spirit of inclusiveness.
Chief Minister Sarma called upon everybody to celebrate the occasion with a sense of responsibility and a commitment to safety.
"On the occasion of Holi, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of Assam. I hope this festival of colors strengthens the bond of friendship and camaraderie among everybody," he said.
Sarma hoped that the colors of Holi would spread happiness and joy all around and foster harmony.
