RAMBAN, APRIL 06: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, reviewed road clearance operations on NH-44 on Monday following a major landslide between Karol and Chanderkote, caused by heavy rainfall.
Accompanied by SSP Traffic Raja Adil Hameed and other officials, he directed agencies to expedite coordinated efforts. NHAI teams deployed machinery to clear the debris quickly.
Traffic has been partially restored through one tunnel, while work continues on the second. Stranded vehicles were cleared with caution.
The Deputy Commissioner urged strict monitoring of vulnerable sections and advised motorists to follow traffic advisories and avoid unnecessary travel due to the intermittent falling rocks.
