Chandigarh, February 21 Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav extended his warmest greetings to Jagjit Singh Bawa, a retired IPS officer from the 1951 batch, on the occasion of his 100th birthday.
"Shri Bawa is a towering figure of the Indian Police Service cadre in Punjab, representing a generation of officers who laid the strongest foundation for professional, principled, and fearless policing," DGP Yadav posted on X.
The Punjab cadre has long been admired for its resilience, leadership, and contribution to the nation, and Bawa stands among its most distinguished exemplars, he added.
