The Budget Session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly will begin today. The session, which will continue until March 20th, will consist of a total of 15 sittings. It will begin with the address of Governor Ramen Deka. Finance Minister O. P. Choudhary will present the budget for the 2026-27 financial year on February 24th.
Speaker of the Assembly, Dr. Raman Singh, has informed that the Governor's address and the Finance Minister's budget speech will be broadcast live by Doordarshan and Akashwani, Raipur. The Speaker further stated that information has been received regarding the introduction of three important bills during the session. These include the Chhattisgarh Freedom of Religion Bill, the Chhattisgarh Public Security Enforcement Bill, and the Chhattisgarh Fire and Emergency Services Bill.
