
Chennai, April 1 – Renowned music director Ilaiyaraaja will be composing the music for director D.D. Balachandran's upcoming film, "Lenin Pandiyan," which will also mark the debut of Dharshan, the grandson of the legendary Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan.
Dharshan, Sivaji Ganesan's grandson, will be making his acting debut with this film. Sources claim that Dharshan will play the role of a police officer in the film, alongside actor and music director Ganga Amaran, who will also be one of the leads. Incidentally, Ganga Amaran is also Ilaiyaraaja's younger brother.
The film will also feature actress Roja, who will be returning to the big screen after several years. Sources say that filming for the movie has been completed, and the release is being finalized.
The film has generated significant interest among fans and film enthusiasts, as it is being produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, one of the most respected production houses in Tamil cinema.
In fact, "Lenin Pandiyan" will mark the reunion of veteran producer T.G. Thyagarajan and music director Ilaiyaraaja after almost 32 years. The duo have previously delivered several successful and blockbuster films, including some that are considered classic Tamil cinema.
Sources close to the production unit say that Ilaiyaraaja has worked on at least 20 films produced by Thyagarajan in the past, including classics like "Moondram Pirai," "Thanga Magan," "Kakki Sattai," "Pagal Nilavu," "Kadhal Parisu," "Kizhakku Vasal," "Panakkaran," and "Idhayam."
With this successful reunion between Ilaiyaraaja and Thyagarajan for "Lenin Pandiyan," expectations for the film have increased.
Sources say that the film will be a compelling story that will showcase the lifestyle in our villages and highlight the social realities prevalent there.
Technically, "Lenin Pandiyan" will have cinematography by A. Edwin Sakai and art direction by Adhuri Jayakumar. The editing will be done by Nagooran Ramachandran, and stunts in the film will be choreographed by Thalapathy Dinesh.
