
In Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today handed over appointment letters to 37 next of kin (NoKs) of victims of terrorism, at the Convention Centre in Jammu. Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that appointment letters were also handed over to 29 NoKs of government employees who lost their lives in service, and beneficiaries in age relaxation cases, under the Jammu & Kashmir Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme-2022 and SRO 43. Paying tribute to the victims of terrorism, the LG vowed the strongest possible action against the terror ecosystem and those who support terrorism. The LG stated that he would work with full commitment to ensure the dignified and honorable lives of the families of terror victims, and that he would fulfill every duty towards them with the utmost seriousness, until justice is served for every family. The LG observed that justice for the families of terror victims is not limited to just punishment, but also to healing and restoring dignity. The LG issued a stern warning to the remaining elements of the terror ecosystem and those involved in conflict, stating that their era of terror is over. The LG said that there is no longer a safe haven in Jammu and Kashmir for terrorists or those who support them. He reiterated his commitment to ensure that every terror victim's family receives the justice, jobs, recognition, and support they deserve after years of suffering. The LG said that those who were part of the terror ecosystem and managed to infiltrate government machinery in the past will face the law, and they will be systematically removed from government jobs and punished according to the law.
