
Jammu, April 4 Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, has suspended IPS officer Sanjeev Kumar Khajuria, pending an inquiry into alleged misuse of the general provident fund and income tax deductions of police personnel.
According to an order issued on behalf of the LG by Principal Secretary (Home), Chandraker Bharti, Khajuria will remain attached to the police headquarters until the inquiry is completed.
"Pending the inquiry into the misappropriation of the general provident fund and income tax deductions of the JKAP-4 Security Battalion personnel, Khajuria, then-commandant of the battalion, and the commandant of the 1st Border Battalion, is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect," the order issued on March 25 stated.
