
Alappuzha (Kerala), March 25 A leader of the UDF in this area has criticized the incumbent MLA and the LDF candidate for the April 9 elections, U Prathibha, claiming that she is "profiting" from her eloquence and beauty to secure a third term in the constituency.
A Irshad, a leader of the Indian Union Muslim League and the convener of the UDF in Kayamkulam, also accused the MLA of failing to serve the interests of the people during an election event.
Irshad also accused Prathibha of not utilizing the various funds she receives as an MLA for the benefit of her constituency.
He claimed that the MLA has not fulfilled her responsibilities as a representative of the people.
"Now she is again seeking to win the election by using her eloquence and beauty," he alleged.
Irshad urged the people to vote for UDF candidate M Liju to prevent Prathibha from winning for a third time in the constituency.
The LDF MLA won the Kayamkulam assembly seat in 2016 and 2021.
