The second phase of the Parliament's budget session began today. Following the commencement of proceedings in the Lok Sabha, the House paid tribute to Dr. Ricky Andrew J. Singkon, a Member of Parliament from Shillong and a prominent figure in the tribal community. He passed away recently. The House also paid tributes to four former Members of Parliament, including Kumari Sushila Thiria, Devi Bux Singh, Poonamasi Ram, and K.P. Unnikrishnan. A moment of silence was observed in the House to honor the departed soul. Subsequently, the proceedings were adjourned until 12 noon.
