Today, the Lok Sabha will consider the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Bill, 2025, for further discussion. The bill aims to further amend the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code of 2016. It seeks to address procedural delays and interpretational issues faced by companies and individuals. The house is also scheduled to discuss efforts to free the country from left-wing extremism.

The Rajya Sabha is scheduled to consider the Central Armed Police Forces (General Administration) Bill, 2026, for consideration and passage. The bill aims to regulate the general rules governing the recruitment and service conditions of Group A General Duty Officers and other officers in the Central Armed Police Forces.

The bill includes provisions that 50 per cent of all Inspector General posts and a minimum of 67 per cent of Additional Director General and all Special Director General and Director General posts shall be filled by Indian Police Service (IPS) officers on deputation.
