The Lok Sabha will continue discussions and voting on the Supplementary Demands for Grants – Second Batch for 2025-2026. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will respond to the debate in the House. In the Rajya Sabha, further discussion will be held on the functioning of the Ministry of Rural Development. Yesterday, in the Lok Sabha, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, made a statement about the steps taken by the government in response to the disruption in the global energy supply caused by the ongoing conflict in West Asia. He emphasized that India's crude oil supply is secure. He stated that the domestic supply of LPG is fully protected, and the standard time for booking to delivery for domestic LPG cylinders remains at 2.5 days. He said that the government's priority is to ensure uninterrupted LPG supply to 33 crore families, particularly the poor and vulnerable. Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, stated that there is considerable concern regarding LPG, and restaurants are struggling to operate, and street vendors are also being affected. He said that the foundation of every nation is its energy security.
