
JAMMU, MARCH 31: Minister Satish Sharma inspected the LPG bottling plants of Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited in Bari Brahmana to assess their operations, stock levels, and supply chain efficiency.
He reviewed the cylinder filling, storage, and dispatch systems, as well as the safety protocols, and was informed that both plants were operating at optimal capacity to meet regional demand. The Minister emphasized the importance of real-time monitoring, digital booking, e-KYC, and DAC validation to prevent hoarding and black marketing.
Sharma directed the authorities to maintain buffer stocks, strengthen coordination between the bottling plants, transport, and distribution, and ensure strict adherence to safety standards. He stressed the need for vigilance, proactive planning, and strict action against any market violations to guarantee uninterrupted LPG supply to consumers.
Officials from the FCS&CA Department, IOCL, and HPCL accompanied him during the visit.
