March 25, New Delhi – Responding to media reports claiming revised timelines for booking Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) refills, the government has stated that no such changes have been made, while reiterating that adequate LPG stocks are available in the country, and there is no cause for concern.
The reports claimed that the booking timeline has been revised to 45 days for Ujjwala connections and 25 days for non-Ujjwala single bottle connections.
The government clarified that the existing booking timelines remain unchanged and continue to be:
25 days in urban areas, and 45 days in rural areas, regardless of the connection type.
The government has urged citizens not to believe or spread such misinformation and to avoid unnecessary or panic booking of LPG refills.
