LPG Rumors Cause Panic: Delhi Government Responds.webp

New Delhi, March 15 Chief Minister Rekha Gupta warned on Sunday that strict action would be taken against those spreading rumors about a potential shortage of LPG, saying that such misinformation was causing unnecessary panic among people.

Speaking at an event at Apna Ghar Ashram in Budhpur, Gupta said that both the Centre and the Delhi government are closely monitoring the situation, and there was no reason for citizens to panic.

She said that certain elements were attempting to create fear and encourage hoarding by spreading misleading information, which she described as being against the national interest.

The chief minister noted that the government was keeping a close watch on such activities and warned that strict action would be taken against any individual or organization found spreading misinformation or indulging in wrongdoing.

Gupta also appealed to citizens not to pay attention to rumors and to continue with their daily routines.

Earlier in the day, the chief minister attended the 12th anniversary celebration and the silver jubilee program of Apna Ghar Ashram in Budhpur, where she praised the organization for its service to destitute and abandoned people.

During the event, Gupta also announced financial assistance for the construction of a paved road leading to the Ashram to improve connectivity and assured the organization of government support in addressing administrative and infrastructure-related requirements.

She further said that if there is a need to institutionalize systems such as organ donation or eye donation after the demise of residents, the government would take the necessary steps in that direction.

Member of Parliament Yogendra Chandoliya, Narela MLA Raj Karan Khatri, and several other dignitaries were also present at the event.
