JAMMU, MARCH 18: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, reviewed the arrangements for the Shree Machail Mata Yatra 2026, with a focus on ensuring a smooth and safe annual pilgrimage.
The meeting discussed key aspects, including registration (online/offline), the potential implementation of an RFID system similar to the Amarnath Yatra, crowd and traffic management, accommodation, sanitation, power and water supply, healthcare, connectivity, and safety measures.
Ramesh Kumar directed officials to ensure adequate medical facilities, proper parking management, strong mobile network coverage, clear signage, and timely weather updates. He also emphasized identifying vulnerable areas, ensuring emergency preparedness, and completing all development work along the yatra route well in advance of its commencement.
