March 09, New Delhi – French President Emmanuel Macron spoke with Masoud Pezeshkian on Sunday ahead of his trip to Cyprus, amid the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran in West Asia.
Macron stated that he urged Tehran to immediately cease strikes against countries in the region during the phone call.
He also called for guarantees to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
The French President also had a conversation with Donald Trump, although details of that discussion were not disclosed.
