Aizawl, April 7, 2026: In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-rule (1) of Rule 3 and Rule 37 of the Mara Autonomous District Council (Election to Village Councils) Rules, 2014, the State Election Commission, Mizoram hereby calls upon the Village Council constituencies under the Mara Autonomous District Council to elect members to fill vacancies in the Village Councils as shown below:

2 Issue of Election Notice by Returning Officers: April 6, 2026 (Monday)
3 Last Date for Filing Nominations: April 13, 2026 (Monday) (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
4 Scrutiny of Nominations: April 14, 2026 (Tuesday)
5 Last Date for Withdrawal of Nominations: April 16, 2026 (Thursday) (Up to 3:00 PM)
6 Allocation of Symbols to Candidates and Display of Contesting Candidates: April 16, 2026 (Thursday) (3:00 PM onwards)
7 Date of Poll: April 30, 2026 (Thursday) (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
8 Counting of Votes (Counting of votes shall commence as soon as possible after the close of poll): April 30, 2026 (Thursday)
9 Date of Re-poll if any: May 2, 2026 (Saturday) (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
