
Chhindwara, March 26 Ten people were killed and 31 injured, including three to four critically, in a head-on collision between a bus returning from a public event attended by the chief minister and a pickup truck in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, on Thursday evening, officials said.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed grief over the incident and announced compensation of ₹4 lakh each for the families of the deceased and ₹1 lakh for those injured. Treatment for all injured persons would be provided free of cost, the CM announced.
The incident took place at 7 pm near Simaria on the Nagpur Road, about 25 kilometers from the district headquarters, Superintendent of Police Ajay Pandey told
