
Rishikesh, March 19 Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here on Thursday and inquired about his health.
The minister, who holds the portfolios of tourism and irrigation, was admitted to AIIMS-Rishikesh on Wednesday due to respiratory issues.
The chief minister spoke to the medical team regarding the minister's condition. Dhami directed the hospital administration to provide the best possible medical facilities and wished Maharaj a speedy recovery.
Due to his condition, doctors moved the minister to the intensive care unit (ICU), where a team led by Dr Ravikant, Head of the Department of Medicine, is monitoring his health.
Dr B Satya, Medical Superintendent of AIIMS-Rishikesh, informed the chief minister that there has been an improvement in the minister's health.
The superintendent stated that while Maharaj is suffering from pneumonia, his vital organs are functioning normally and his condition is steadily improving.
