Pune, March 13 Amidst the West Asia crisis and rumors of an LPG shortage, a team from the food supplies department discovered 57 illegally stocked cylinders at a gas agency in Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune, on Friday, an official said.
The action by the department's squad, set up at the direction of the district collectorate, was based on a complaint, he added.
"We found 57 domestic LPG cylinders stored in the warehouse without permission. The process of holding the gas agency under the Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act has begun," the official said.
