Palghar, March 17 A fire broke out at a pharmaceutical company in the Palghar district of Maharashtra on Tuesday morning, an official said.
There were no reports of any casualties, Vivekanand Kadam, chief of the district disaster management cell, said.
The fire erupted at the pharmaceutical unit in the Boisar Industrial Estate around 8:30 am, he said.
Upon receiving the alert, four fire engines, including those from the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) and the Palghar Municipal Council, were deployed. Efforts were underway to extinguish the flames, Kadam said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
