Mumbai, February 26 Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Thursday that 2026 will be known as the "recruitment year" as the state government will launch a large-scale hiring initiative.

In his reply in the legislative council to the Governor's address, Shinde said that efforts are being made to create significant employment opportunities in both the private and public sectors, and the government is striving to make the recruitment process more transparent.
