Maharashtra to Build International Port at Satpati.webp

Palghar, March 7 Maharashtra Forest Minister Ganesh Naik said on Saturday that the state government plans to develop an international-level port at Satpati in the Palghar district, which would benefit fishermen and boost the local economy.

He was speaking after launching the first phase of the ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Mahasul Samadhan Camp’, aimed at resolving citizens’ grievances.

Naik said that Palghar has the potential to emerge as the "third Mumbai district" due to growing infrastructure, industrial development, and connectivity.

Naik, who is also the guardian minister of Palghar, said that the state government plans to develop an international-level port at Satpati. The port will benefit fishermen and improve the region's economy, he added.
