
Mumbai, March 31 – In a major administrative reshuffle, the Maharashtra government transferred 10 bureaucrats on Tuesday, according to government officials.
Lokesh Chandra, an IAS officer of the 1993 batch and Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister in Mumbai.
Ashwini Bhide, an IAS officer of the 1995 batch and Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Bhide is the first woman bureaucrat to assume the role of BMC Commissioner, especially given that the civic body has undertaken a series of projects for the transformation of Mumbai.
Vikas Chandra Rastogi, an IAS officer of the 1995 batch and Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture), has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Financial Reforms and the Finance Department at Mantralaya in Mumbai.

Prithviraj B.P., an IAS officer of the 2014 batch and Additional Municipal Commissioner of the Pune Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation.
