Mumbai, March 31 – In a major administrative reshuffle, the Maharashtra government transferred 10 bureaucrats on Tuesday, according to government officials.
Lokesh Chandra, an IAS officer of the 1993 batch and Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister in Mumbai.
Ashwini Bhide, an IAS officer of the 1995 batch and Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Bhide is the first woman bureaucrat to assume the role of BMC Commissioner, especially given that the civic body has undertaken a series of projects for the transformation of Mumbai.
Vikas Chandra Rastogi, an IAS officer of the 1995 batch and Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture), has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Financial Reforms and the Finance Department at Mantralaya in Mumbai.
This appointment comes as the state government has launched its vision document to achieve "Viksit Maharashtra" by 2047, with the state economy reaching $5 trillion.

He will be responsible for implementing the Maharashtra MahaAgri-AI Policy 2025–2029, which has a budget of ₹500 crore, to integrate AI, generative AI, and digital technology into agriculture, aiming to increase productivity by 40 per cent and reduce fertilizer costs by 30 per cent.
Tukaram Mundhe, an IAS officer of the 2005 batch and Secretary of the Divyang Kalyan Department, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Disaster Management, Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Revenue and Forest Department at Mantralaya in Mumbai.

Prerna Deshbhratar, an IAS officer of the 2010 batch and State Tax Joint Commissioner in Mumbai, has been appointed as the Commissioner of the State Fisheries Department in Mumbai.
Prithviraj B.P., an IAS officer of the 2014 batch and Additional Municipal Commissioner of the Pune Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation.
