Jalpaiguri (WB), April 8 BJP national president Nitin Nabin led a roadshow in the town of Mainaguri in the Jalpaiguri district on Wednesday, in support of the party's candidates in the West Bengal Assembly elections.

The streets were filled with slogans of "Jai Mataji" and other chants in support of the saffron party as Nabin rode in an open jeep, accompanied by BJP candidates.

Supporters carrying party flags and balloons lined the nearly two-kilometer route from the Hogla Factory to the Natun Bazar bus terminus.

"The large number of people present at this rally is an indication of the BJP's victory in the Assembly elections," said Nabin.

"The 'Maha Jangalraj' (large forest) in Bengal, under the Trinamool Congress, will end, ushering in good governance and development," he said.
