Beed, Apr 8 A 42-year-old police constable allegedly committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Majalgaon, Beed district, on Wednesday, officials said.
The reason behind the death of Balkrishna Jaybhaye, who was identified as the deceased, is being investigated.
Jaybhaye had previously worked with the Beed Local Crime Branch unit and at the Georai police station.
Police have initiated further investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
