March 09, New Delhi: India has sent a humanitarian shipment of one thousand metric tons of rice to Malawi to address food security concerns following a drought caused by the El Niño effect.

The shipment was dispatched from the Nhava Sheva Port as part of India's humanitarian assistance to the African nation facing food shortages. This initiative reflects India's continued commitment to supporting partners in the Global South and strengthening South-South cooperation.
