
Kolkata, March 16 West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee led a rally in the city on Monday, demanding protection of the democratic rights of the state's people and protesting against the LPG crisis.
The procession began from College Square in the city's central area, and thousands of people are participating in the rally, which will conclude at Dorina Crossing.
The Election Commission had announced the two-phase West Bengal Assembly elections on April 23 and 29 on Sunday.
