
Betul (Madhya Pradesh), April 8 – A 60-year-old man and his son-in-law were killed instantly when a trailer truck collided with their motorcycle in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The accident occurred at Baretha Ghat at 3:30 pm, after which police impounded the truck and detained its driver, they said.
Area police inspector Arvind Kumre told reporters that the deceased were identified as Haridas Verma and his son-in-law, Sunahri Sinotiya (45).
He said the couple was returning home on a motorcycle after purchasing agricultural supplies from Betul city when the truck hit their two-wheeler from the rear.
"The impact of the collision was severe, and both died instantly," Kumre said.
