Thane, March 19 A man was arrested for allegedly strangling his wife in Badlapur, in the Thane district, a police official said on Thursday.
Chandrashekar Thorat (40), a resident of Yadav Nagar in Badlapur East, was arrested on March 17, he added.
"Thorat and his wife, Ashwini (38), used to have frequent arguments. During one such argument on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, he strangled her to death with a belt. Based on a complaint from her relatives, a case was registered and Thorat was arrested for murder," said Badlapur police station senior inspector Nitin Patil.
